Slender You FAQ Part 3 Do I need to Exercise while on Slender You?

One of the most common questions we get asked is ‘can I exercise while on The Slender Diet Plan?’ – we have created this blog to answer this question for you!

The short answer is ‘it depends’ – If you follow our Slender Diet and 21 Day Kick Start Plans to a "T" this will place you onto  a Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD). Below, we will look at the level of exercise that we recommend for each plan and give you some suggestions on ways to work-out!

Due to the calorie-restrictive nature of these total meal replacement diet plans, we do not advise that you undertake strenuous exercise while on the 21 Day Kick Start Challenge or Following our Slender Diet whereby you Replace two-three meals per day with our Meal Replacement products.

 We also suggest that, if you do undertake heavy exercise at any time on these plans, you consume the calories back that you have burnt off.

However – the good news is that you can do up to 20 minutes of light exercise a day while on both of these total meal replacement plans! Including some light walking into your day – such as walking to work instead of driving – is great for both your heart and your mind!

Want to up your exercise game but not a big fan of the gym? Here are some great outdoor exercises that you can try to burn some extra calories!

Try out Yoga

Yoga is a great way to increase your flexibility whilst improving your muscle strength and tone. It’s also great for calming your mood and helping you prepare for a stressful day ahead. Find yourself somewhere quiet to start practising your Downward-Facing Dog. Remember, this outdoor exercise can always be brought inside if the weather lets you down!


Walk this way!

Not quite ready to run? No problem. They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, so put your best foot forward and hit the pavement. Start by downloading a pedometer app to your smartphone and aim for 10,000 steps a day. Over one week that can burn nearly 3,500 calories!


 

To replenish the body, we suggest having a cold shake or smoothie post-workout! All our Slender Shakes can be whizzed with ice and almond milk (optional – you can use coconut or simply water).
